Inflation and rising prices: Many debt counseling services are currently being overrun by people seeking help. It is said that inquiries have increased by 40 percent. Is that true?Sandra Meyer: We have never been able to work according to needs. Our office hours are always full. Only the themes change. This year, the number of consultations to secure a living has increased in particular.
How do you manage that?Meyer: This increase is at the expense of our further advice, which deals with claims assessment, debt settlement and insolvency proceedings. The resources are lacking there. But we cannot abandon people with their most pressing problems.
