At the 2006 home World Cup, Herbert Grönemeyer (67) caused football fever in Germany with his song “Time for something to turn.” Almost 20 years later, the musician gave the hit a new coat of paint just in time for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany. Grönemeyer becomes the next music legend to bring a young German rapper to her side.

For the new version of “Time for something to turn,” Grönemeyer teams up with rapper $oho Bani (25). The 25-year-old announced this on February 19th with a video on his Instagram account. A first excerpt from the new song can also be heard in the clip, which will be published in its entirety on YouTube on Thursday evening (February 22nd) and will be available in stores from Friday.
