For Margaret Qualley (29) it was love at first sight with her husband Jack Antonoff (39). After just two weeks she knew that the two would get married. The actress now says this in an interview with the British “Elle” magazine.
In a special moment in the summer of 2021, she realized that she wanted to marry the music producer. “I had probably met Jack two weeks before, but I was immediately head over heels in love. I had this safe, knowing feeling that he was my husband,” Qualley says.
During a fitting for Chanel’s haute couture show, she spoke to creative director Virginie Viard (62) about the 39-year-old. “I think I just met the man I’m going to marry. And if I’m right, will you design my wedding dress?” Qualley asked, sure: “Give me two years…”
And two years later the time had really come: in the summer of 2023, Qualley and Antonoff said yes in front of their family and numerous celebrity friends such as Taylor Swift (34) and Lana Del Rey (38). “I believe the power of manifesting is real,” Qualley concludes. It was “simply the most magical day of my life.”
Getting married one day was a big dream for the actress when she was a child. “I always wanted to be married,” Qualley says. “I was a girly girl. When I went for a walk with my sister, we would fantasize about our weddings or what our husbands would be like.”
Back then, she didn’t actually dream of a wedding as big as it ended up being. But: “I knew Jack needed a big wedding,” says the 29-year-old. “He has so many great friends and a huge family too.”
Husband Jack Antonoff is the singer of the band Bleachers and, as a music producer, regularly works with successful artists such as Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde. He was awarded a Grammy ten times for his productions.
Margaret Qualley is the third and youngest child of actress Andie MacDowell (65) from her first marriage to Paul Qualley. Her first role was in the series “The Leftovers” in 2013. She also appeared in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” in 2019 and “Poor Things” in 2023.
