In the next edition of the talk show “3nach9”, which will be broadcast simultaneously on March 8th from 10 p.m. on NDR, Radio Bremen television and hr television, the presenters Judith Rakers (48) and Giovanni di Lorenzo (64) welcome a very special talk guest: As was announced a week before the broadcast, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (65) will be taking a seat in the studio. But it’s not just because of this personality that it’s a special episode of the cult talk show. The 600th anniversary edition is also celebrated on this day.

While Rakers and di Lorenzo usually also invite actresses, actors, music stars or other representatives of the entertainment industry to talk to their diverse group, this time it is a slightly different group. As already announced, former politician Bernhard Vogel (91) is also there. To date, he is the only person to have become Prime Minister in two federal states – first in Rhineland-Palatinate, then in Thuringia.

Former tennis player Andrea Petković (35), who retired from professional sport in 2023, will also be a guest. Science journalist Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim (36) is well known to audiences from TV. She is invited together with the cultural scientist and internet activist Marie Meimberg (40).

You might not be able to call him an activist, but it was courageous when ex-professional footballer Thomas Hitzlsperger (41) became the first former German professional footballer and national team player to publicly admit his homosexuality in 2014. He will also be a guest in this illustrious group.

And last but not least, the neurologist, Prof. Volker Busch, will give an insight into the “exciting world of the mind and brain,” according to the broadcaster. “3nach9” went on air in 1974. Giovanni di Lorenzo has moderated since 1989, former “Tagesschau” star Judith Rakers since 2010.
