Before the central bank decisions this week, the Dax hardly moved on Tuesday. The leading German index lost 0.10 percent to 16,174.90 points in the first few minutes of trading.
The MDax with the 50 shares of medium-sized listed companies increased by 0.09 percent to 28,223.90 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the stock exchange barometer for the heavyweights in the eurozone, also rose by 0.09 percent to 4386.95 points. The Ifo business climate index, the most important German economic indicator, is to be published in the course of the morning.
