For one of her first public appearances after a hospital stay a few weeks ago, Madonna (64) chose a concert by her colleague Beyoncé (41). Photos shared by music fans on social media appear to show the Queen of Pop in a VIP area at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Superstar Beyoncé was also apparently happy about the high visit and greeted Madonna, “the Queen”, from the stage, as reported by the US magazine “People”. The 64-year-old should have been on tour herself, but due to an infection, the singer still has to rest and the tour will not start until October. Madonna should then also come to Cologne and Berlin at the end of the year.
Guy Oseary (50), Madonna’s manager, announced at the end of June that the singer had developed a “serious bacterial infection” and had to spend several days in a hospital’s intensive care unit. But she was able to leave the clinic a little later.
Only recently, Madonna reported back on Instagram with a small dance routine. “Being able to move my body and dance just a little makes me feel like the happiest star on earth,” the singer captioned a clip of her swaying to her song “Lucky Star.”
“Love from family and friends is the best medicine,” she wrote a little later about recordings that showed her with her daughter Lourdes (26) and her son David Banda (17). She realized how lucky she was to be alive: “Thanks to all my angels who protected me and let me stay so I can continue my work.”
