Every child is happy about such a surprise: pop star Christina Aguilera (42) congratulated her daughter Summer Rain (9) on Instagram with warm words on her birthday. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer also shared a series of pictures of her offspring and a video showing Aguilera taking her daughter on stage during one of her concerts. The visibly happy nine-year-old dances and celebrates in front of an enthusiastic audience in the clip.
“Today I think about how quickly time has passed. These nine years have been full of boundless love, heartwarming hugs […] and finally the joy of standing next to you on stage,” writes the proud mother in her post -Text. Daughter Summer Rain shared the stage with her famous mother at Aguilera’s first show in Israel on August 10 this year, according to ETOnline.
“Every day I thank the universe for giving me the privilege of being your mom, a role that I consider my ultimate achievement,” the singer continued in her emotional social media post. Aguilera is very proud to “experience the remarkable young woman” that her daughter has become.
Daughter Summer Rain is born of Aguilera’s relationship with film producer Matt Rutler. The couple has been engaged since Valentine’s Day 2014 but have yet to tie the knot. The pop star was previously married to music producer Jordan Bratman (46) from 2005 to 2011. The marriage produced their son Max Liron, who is now 15 years old.
Her fiancé also shared a video of the mother-daughter appearance of his two favorite ladies on his Instagram account. “Happy ninth birthday to our little sunshine,” Rutler writes on the social network.
