United Lithium Corp. recently confirmed the presence of over 4,000 meters of lithium pegmatites at the Bergby Lithium Project in Sweden. This discovery comes after additional assay results from the 2023 Drill Program were reported on the D and E Pegmatites at the Project. The Bergby Project covers 7,897 hectares and contains several LCT granitic pegmatites, with five confirmed through drilling. The recent addition of the Axmarby Property further expands United Lithium’s exploration potential.

The 2023 Drill Program concluded in December, with results from 58 of the 60 holes drilled released. Notable highlights include lithium assay results from Pegmatites D and E, showcasing grades of up to 2.20% Li2O. United Lithium’s President and CEO, Scott Eldridge, expressed excitement over the robust lithium mineralization results at Bergby, highlighting the potential for low-cost open-pit extraction.

The Company is optimistic about the strategic location of the Bergby Project, with access to world-class infrastructure and the recent implementation of the Critical Raw Materials Act in the European Union. This Act supports domestic projects like Bergby, which play a crucial role in the EV value chain. United Lithium aims to continue exploring for additional pegmatites at Bergby and the Axmarby Property.

Exploration activities planned for 2024 include mapping, sampling, and ground geophysics to identify new drill targets. The geological setting at Bergby, within the Hamrånge synform, consists of mica schist, volcanic rocks, and metaquartzite, indicating favorable conditions for lithium mineralization. The Bergby Project now comprises five spodumene-bearing pegmatites, with potential for further discoveries.

Core drilling at Bergby is conducted by Ludvika Borr Teknik AB, with samples analyzed by ALS Ltd. for lithium content. The Company maintains a strict Quality Assurance and Quality Control program to ensure accurate results. United Lithium’s Qualified Person, Isabelle Lépine, oversees the technical data and exploration activities at the Project.

United Lithium’s focus on lithium projects in safe jurisdictions with advanced infrastructure positions the Company for rapid and cost-effective exploration and development opportunities. The Bergby Project’s proximity to significant infrastructure, including the Northvolt lithium battery gigafactory and Keliber Lithium’s hydroxide plant, underscores its strategic importance in the global lithium market. The Company remains committed to advancing its exploration efforts and unlocking the full potential of the Bergby Project.
