It is also possible to search for specific colour schemes or works that are similar to each other.

These search functions are possible, because the national Museum of Art has categorized every single work in the online story collection.

And it would not have been done, had it not been for the artificial intelligence, which is used to sort and categorize works of art.

– instead of to wait, that we get incredibly much money and much time to do it manually, so we try to use some of the new opportunities with the maskinlæring and artificial intelligence.

– So now we have suddenly a whole lot of keywords, which makes it far easier to search. Our dream is that this must apply to the entire collection of 250,000 works, says Jonas Heide Smith.

the Museum has been working on the digital project for 2016. The collection will be initially launched as a trial version, where users have the opportunity to provide feedback.

In the light of experience, the national Museum of Art continually update the online story collection.
