A man from port fairy was driving according to police 80-100 kilometres an hour through the narrow street, before the car chase ended.

It could easily have gone wrong, as an Audi on the night of Saturday, drove wildly around in an area at Elsinore.

Several squad cars had to put, after the motorist from port fairy in north Zealand during the hunt near hit a cyclist and ended up crashing.

Police spotted the driver at 01.25, where he initially drove in the direction towards Hornbæk and then back toward Elsinore with a speed far above the allowable.

After about 10 minutes of car chase drove the 53-year-old male motorist into a tree, and he was arrested. It tells vagtchef Jacob Tofte.

“You can continue towards the Elsinore, where you drive through the small streets – still with very high speed – before you finally choose to crash into a road sign and ends up in a tree,” says vagtchefen.

the Motorist was not hurt in the accident and was subsequently arrested.

Vagtchefen tells that the driver probably drove 80 to 100 kilometres an hour through the narrow street of St. Anna Street in Elsinore, where it will normally be safe with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres an hour.

along the Way in biljagten was a cyclist close to being hit.

“At one point he runs over in the opposite lane and hitting a curb, so that strikes sparks up on a cyclist, who is about to be hit. It is a cyclist, as we are still looking for,” says Jakob Tofte.

He adds, however, that the cyclist did not come to harm by nærulykken. But the police would like to hear how the cyclist saw the episode.

Jacob Tofte denote the driver’s driving as very serious, because it easily could have ended wrong.

“We are looking seriously at it. It is not in order to drive to any places. But especially when we move into a denser populated area, at a time when there still is populated and people move on the street, is it right seriously,” says vagtchefen.

the Man accused of driving without a licence, drink-driving and for having caused danger to the lives of others and mobility. The police says that the driver had a bac of anything over the allowable. But it must be confirmed by a blood test.

the Police have not been able to get an explanation from the man on why he drove so wildly.

“He is not so communicative,” says Jakob Tofte.

Saturday, at 11 o’clock to get the man, however, the opportunity to explain themselves to a judge. Here he will be produced in a grundlovsforhør in the Court of Lyngby, where a prosecutor will ask for him to be remanded in custody.
