When the global economy came to a halt, because of the outbreak of the Covid-19, Jonathan Bryant was believed, for a moment, that his business would not. His company, computer programming, specialized in connected objects, with many networks of luxury boutique around the world, has known, in mid-march, an air hole can be dizzying. “Overnight, we no longer have registered a command. Our employees have returned home and nobody knew if he would find his job in the wake of this health crisis, ” says the founder of the anglo-Swedish agency Bryanthings.
Founded in 2014, this company sells computer systems innovative on the market niche emerging for the ” retailtainment “, a niche market whose purpose is to transform the retail space of the traditional playgrounds… with the stroke of the animations, transforming the shops into places that are festive. “The goal is to “revolutionize” the customer experience “, explains the head of the company of 47 years.
In this spirit, her company has developed in turn of the cabins “event” (some of which in partnership with the agency Magnum), allowing every one to take a picture or video, and then machines, printing ribbons and paper gift custom. It has subsequently developed it systems tailored to the particular universe of fashion, perfume and beauty products, including plcs allow the “customization” of its purchases.

“The year 2020 was well… when the coronavirus has changed everything,” says the entrepreneur. It was during his confinement, in the family, in the bay of the Somme, that he came up with the idea of developing from expertise, a new digital device, health. “Our know-how in the field of connection could easily be declined. If we know how to connect image sensors on printers, it was possible to do the same between a thermometer and a dispenser of the ticket, ” notes Jonathan Bryant. In three weeks, supported by a team of engineers, he designed a machine capable of raising the temperature by infrared beam (non-contact and instantly), and starts the production of a fifty prototypes.
Objective : detect the early signs of the disease
” In China, customers are not allowed to enter a store if they have a fever, because a raised body temperature is the first indication of contamination at Covid. Our machines will help our users to know if they are in a phase of febrile, allowing to track down the earliest possible time, any new risk of epidemic, ” says-t it. These tools don’t capture the temperature that people who place themselves voluntarily in front of the sensor and does not record any personal data, in accordance with the rules laid down by the national Commission on informatics and liberties (Cnil).
in The aftermath of the announcement of the phase 3 of the déconfinement and while the horizon of new outbreaks of the disease in the east of France, but also and especially in China, dozens of businesses have placed an order for the machines : headquarters of large groups wishing to reassure their managers, but also plants and even the casinos ! These machines, manufactured in China, are sold around 2 500 euros : almost at cost price. “Our goal is to first help our customers to reopen their shops. Helping them to resume as quickly as possible, we will rescue at the same time our own business, ” explains the boss of this company of seven employees who intends not to put the key under the door.
