More than four years have passed since the death of Luke Perry (1966-2019), but the actor remains unforgotten by friends and colleagues. Perry would have turned 57 on October 11th, Tori Spelling (50) used the occasion to remember her co-star from “Beverly Hills, 90210”. The series was the big breakthrough for the two of them in the 1990s.
In an Instagram story, she shared an older picture of herself with Luke Perry, in which they appeared to be dancing together. Spelling wrote: “There could be a million people in the room, but he always made you feel like you were the only one.” She added: “Good, friendly people” are a rarity. “Unfortunately I don’t know that many. He was one of them.” The actress’s post to Perry continues: “Happy birthday. I miss you always.”
It’s not just his “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars who always remember Luke Perry, who died in 2019 at the age of just 52 as a result of a serious stroke. When the Netflix series “Riverdale” ended in August, the actors also looked back on their time with their colleague Luke Perry. He died unexpectedly during the filming of the third season.
In an interview with Vulture, Cole Sprouse (31), Camila Mendes (29) and Madelaine Petsch (28) spoke about the lasting positive influence Perry had on them. “Luke was an oracle for me and for a lot of people on the show,” said Petsch, who played Cheryl Blossom on the show. “Especially because he was with us through the first two years of chaos and confusion and on the road to success. I think he’s a big reason the show is where it is today.”
