Malaysia will open in August 2020 a survey on the causes of the death of a teenager, franco-irish, found dead in the jungle in malaysia, said the family’s lawyer on Friday 10 July. In the course of this investigation, a tribunal will hear some 64 witnesses, and will visit the places where the body of Nora Quoirin, 15 years old, had been found at about 2.5 km from the resort, where she was with her parents on vacation in August 2019. “The hearings will be held from 24 August to 4 September,” said lawyer Sankara Nair.
The malaysian police concluded that they had died of internal bleeding, ruling out a criminal act in the death of this teenager to achieve a slight mental disability, and had closed the case. But, according to his family, Nora was “absolutely not” accustomed to running away from home and his parents prefer a runway criminal. They have requested the malaysian authorities to open an inquiry to establish the causes of the death of their child.
The hearings are broadcast on Zoom
The teenager had disappeared from the hotel Dusun Resort, the day following his arrival. This tourist complex is located approximately 70 km south of the capital Kuala Lumpur, on the edge of the jungle. A window had been found open in the pavilion where resided the family. After the disappearance of the young girl, ten days of intense research, had mobilized hundreds of people. The court hearings will be broadcast via the application Zooming out “to the parents of Nora and the other witnesses to follow the proceedings,” said the lawyer.
