The last warm days are over and Germany is experiencing a cold snap. From the northwest, a cold front is causing a noticeable change in temperatures, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach. Stormy, changeable weather with isolated rain showers is expected, followed by a significant cooling down.
On Saturday, the cold temperatures will also reach southeastern Germany, as DWD meteorologist Florian Bilgeri explained. Further increased rainfall, including thunderstorms, is to be expected. According to the DWD report, it will remain windy to stormy, especially in the north and in the eastern half. The lowest values are therefore between 2 and 9 degrees. According to the weather service, it will be warmest in the northwest with up to 21 degrees.
Colder temperatures are also expected on Sunday, explained the DWD meteorologist. “The rest of the weekend will be slightly changeable with isolated showers and perhaps thunderstorms. It will also remain windy in the northeast and at sea.”
At the start of the week it will be a little drier again, according to the DWD report. However, it will no longer be as warm as it has been in the past few days.
