While the first weekend of the holiday of August is busy on the roads, the Foundation Vinci Autoroutes launched a campaign of awareness raising for motorists to prevent a phenomenon more and more present : the pollution of waste on the highways. For the 5th consecutive year, it has commissioned Ipsos to poll a panel of drivers to know their habits in terms of waste management in their car. Like in 2019, one French person out of three admits to getting rid of its waste by the window of his car, according to the results of the detailed investigation by France Info.

” Every day, 25 tons of litter were picked up along the highways “, provides in the preamble to the foundation. In the framework of its campaign ” Hold on to you… the next rubbish bin is never far away ! “posters have been put up since Friday in the 453 aires highway of Vinci. To explain their action, the respondents point to the lack of trash cans or bins, already full of waste. The Foundation contends ” that on-highway trash bins are present on all areas.”
