The measurement of the Munich-based company Nowcast, which locates, among other things, for the German weather service lightning on Monday. Thus, Saxony-Anhalt landed in a nationwide comparison, in fifth place, behind Bayern (278 031 flashes), Baden-Württemberg (41 404 flashes), Brandenburg (26 983) and lower Saxony (13 001). Overall, there were nationwide in July, 394 668 discharges – as few as never before since the Start of the records in the year 2006. Not a single flash has been captured of the measurement according to the Saarland.
