Queen Camilla (76) attended the Ascot horse race in a good mood on Saturday afternoon in an emerald green coat dress and matching hat. She paired the ensemble with black knee-high boots with block heels. She also paid tribute to the late queen with a detail on her outfit.
On her left lapel, Camilla wore a brooch depicting a diamond-encrusted horse being ridden by a jockey. The piece of jewelry was given to the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) for her 90th birthday and, after her death, was passed on to her daughter-in-law, who was also a horse enthusiast. The stunning tiara was first presented to Princess Victoria Mary of Teck (1867-1953) on the occasion of her wedding to George V (1865-1936) in 1893. The Queen wore the Queen Mary’s Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara in one of her first public appearances after the funeral of her father George VI.
