Sibuya, a brand specialized in Japanese cuisine belonging to a Leonese restaurant group, is going to disembark in the middle of Plaza de Zocodover, in the Historic Center of Toledo. It is going to do it in the arcades, in the building that the ‘Ñaca Ñaca’ occupied until the end of 2020, which had to close, like other businesses, due to the coronavirus crisis, after 28 years open.
In recent years, Japanese food is a trend throughout Spain, where this restaurant chain is in full expansion. It already has more than 30 operating restaurants throughout the country, from Madrid, Seville, Oviedo or Valencia, to which are added seven more from the Asian cuisine brand ‘Kamado Asian Food’.
In addition to the Toledo restaurant, the Sibuya Group plans to open another 14 establishments in the coming months.
In Castilla-La Mancha it will be the second opening of this chain, after the Sibuya Urban Sushi Bar in Albacete, which opened on Calle Mayor in November 2019.
When the works are finished, Toledo residents and visitors will be able to taste the extensive menu of Japanese cuisine specialties. Thus, starters such as Wakame Salad or Sunomono will be served, to continue with some Gyozas, a Tori Katsu, their Baos, Noodles or Makis, among many other dishes. “A whole journey through Japanese gastronomy while enjoying an environment with a calm and relaxed decoration, which allows the diner to fully immerse themselves in the Sibuya experience,” says the franchise on its website.
