The president of the Patient Ombudsman, Carmen Flores, expressed this Friday her gratitude to the president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, for the apologies offered on Thursday for the words pronounced by the vice president of his Government, Juan García-Gallardo , within the Cortes in reference to people with disabilities, for having “more manliness” and asking for forgiveness, without having been directly responsible. Although, she has demanded his dismissal, in addition to accusing García-Gallardo of having a “mental” disability.

“In a democracy this is paid, it is not continued in the position”, he specified in an open letter to the head of the Government of Castilla y León.

“It is not you who should give them and they are not enough either, the normal thing is who has taken the little leg out of how you think and how you are going to continue in the legislature,” he specifies, to demand “put another more rational person for such an important position” .

“There are many of us who have felt attacked. If the same thing had happened to my deceased son with a great disability due to negligence and with a much higher intelligence, I assure you that he would not have gotten away with it. That is why, like me, thousands and thousands of people with physical and not mental disabilities like that of this vice president »consider that« these types of actions generate hatred, and a bad role can be played by those who should do the opposite », he sentences.
