Ramzan Kadyrov is the leader of the Chechen Republic, an ally to Vladimir Putin. He says he’s ready to attack Poland, and that European countries who have provided aid to Ukraine should “take their arms”, reports “Newsweek”.
He said this in a video posted on Twitter on Wednesday, May 25, by Francis Scarr, a BBC journalist. Ramzan Kadyrov says that “the subject of Ukraine has been closed” and is now “interested to learn more about Poland”.
Ramzan Kadyrov sent “thousands” of volunteers to fight alongside the Russians since the beginning of Moscow’s offensive against Ukraine. According to several sources, others have offered their assistance to the Ukrainians.
Poland is the most prominent European country that has provided assistance to Ukraine. Since the outbreak of war, 3.5 million Ukrainian refugees have crossed its border to reach Poland. RFI reports that it also sent more than 200 Soviet tanks in support of the Ukrainian forces.
