Testimonies of former employees from Assu 2000 have increased since Jacques Bouthier was indicted for “trafficking and human beings” as well as “rape of a child”. We can only say that former employees all described the same behavior as their bosses.
BFMTV gathered the words of Khamisse (manager of Assu 2000 Tangier, Morocco) until his resignation in 2019. Former executive relates how the CEO used his quarter-hour visits to Morocco to “do its business” with young women employees. They were between 18 and 25 years old and often came from the lowest-paid jobs.
His type was a young, slim and short Moroccan woman. He loved to spend time at the switchboard […]., his favorite hunting ground. He was a master of any move. Khamisse says that he visited the sets and went to the girls to see them.
Ghita, another ex-employee of Assu 2000 Tangier, claims that she received “maybe a dozen complaints.” The attitude of Jacques Bouthier was criticized by the girls. They said, “He touched my breasts.” He placed his hand on my butt.”
RTL has a story by another Tangier agency employee. He recounts the following scene: “He saw her, then he called his manager. He told her to drop off her latest iPhone and give her the message that she was invited to dinner tonight. It’s fine if she accepts. We fire her if she refuses to accept.”
Khamisse and other managers had to live with the possibility of being fired in the event that they denounced. The employee stated that “as a small manger, I cannot intervene in this matter because we’re talking about the CEO.” An employee explained that a “kind union” was established to coordinate the response. However, “automatically,” this group was fired within minutes. […] Motives:
Khamisse was even threatened in a text message by his boss: “If we continue to be irritated, we will have to teach you an important lesson.” Jacques Bouthier claimed that he could even call upon his “friends from Tangier police” in order to cover up the incident.
