Jean-Monnet College 4th graders met representatives from 20 professions in a Trades Forum on Monday, May 23. Caroline Marcant, librarian and Stephanie Henaff (REP coordinator), offered to organize the 4th-grade class. Lea and Maelle explain that they sent 80 emails to individuals and companies to search for jobs.
The college students were finally able to get the answers they sought after a few more phone calls. On Monday, the 4th-C students welcomed the speakers with drinks and “guided” them into the rooms. They were able talk to a policeman and a firefighter as well as building craftsmen, a farmer, a photographer, and representatives from artistic and cultural professions.
Contacts allowed everyone to learn about the training and working conditions as well as to make connections for the next 3rd year internship.
