The Junta de Castilla-La Mancha has confirmed this Tuesday, May 31, 2,087 new cases of coronavirus infection during the past week (from Monday, May 23 to Sunday, May 29) in people over 60 years of age. The province of Toledo registered 844 cases, Ciudad Real 491 cases, Albacete 344, Cuenca 227 and Guadalajara 181. In the previous four weeks, 2,584, 2,845, 2,750 and 2,658 cases had been recorded, respectively.

As for the deceased, last week 23 were registered (eight in Toledo, six in Albacete, four in Guadalajara, three in Cuenca and two in Ciudad Real). In the previous four weeks, 38, 24, 26 and 16, respectively, had been counted.

Now there are 342 hospitalized, of which 335 are in a conventional bed (34 less than a week ago) and seven in the ICU (three less).

Of the seven patients admitted to the Intensive Care Units who need a respirator, Albacete has three, Ciudad Real three and Toledo one.

Of the 335 patients in conventional beds, Ciudad Real has 94 (36 in the Ciudad Real hospital, 34 in Alcázar de San Juan, eight in Valdepeñas, five in Puertollano, six in Tomelloso and five in Manzanares), Toledo 91 (60 in Toledo, 27 in Talavera de la Reina and four in the National Hospital for Paraplegics), Albacete 87 (71 in Albacete, seven in Villarrobledo, five in Almansa and four in Hellín), Guadalajara 41 (all in the Guadalajara hospital) and Cuenca 22 (all in Cuenca).
