Suma Gestión Tributaria will apply a reduction in the rate charged to the municipalities of the province of Alicante for the management and collection of their taxes and tributes, which will generate savings in the municipal coffers of more than half a million euros.
The Governing Council of the organization has unanimously approved the reduction of the rate from 2.3% to 2.2% on the total collection of taxes in the voluntary period for the remainder of the year. This measure must be ratified by the plenary session of the Alicante Provincial Council, as reported by the institution in a statement.
The president of the provincial institution, Carlos Mazón, highlighted that “thanks to the level of efficiency achieved by Suma, after a strategic management of resource optimization and a commitment to innovation and digitization, we are in a position to reduce what the city councils they pay the body for the management of their taxes”.
In this sense, he has detailed that this reduction, which will affect the management of taxes such as the IBI, the IAE or the IVTM, will lead to savings for the municipalities of about 588,000 euros in this year 2022, «money that the consistories will be able to derive to other needs, such as the execution of projects to improve its municipal facilities and services».
For her part, the deputy for the Treasury and vice-president of the body, María Gómez, has shown that this reduction “confirms the validity of the comprehensive management model carried out by Suma and reinforces its vanguard position among tax collection entities at the national level. ».
“The implementation of various process re-engineering, the incorporation of new technological tools and the involvement of the human team has allowed us to generate significant savings without undermining the excellence and quality of the service”, said, finally, the director of Suma, José Antonio Belso.
