Shara Cortes Gonzaga, a 16 year-old gymnast from Nevada Armilla, was able to win the Andalusian title in the absolute category in all three apparatuses: ribbon, hoop and clubs.

Chiclana (Cadiz), hosted the rhythmic gymnastics qualifying check to represent Andalusia at the Spanish Championship. Shara Cortes, an absolute senior, won gold in every apparatus (ring ribbon and clubs), and was named Andalusian champion. She will also be the future representative of the community at the Spanish Championship. In Andalusia, it has been ten years since a gymnast wins in all three apparatuses.

Shara Cortes spends more than 16 hours per week training in the Rafael Machado pavilion, Armilla, in order to master the apparatus and develop the attitude, qualities, and attitudes necessary to reach the category’s level. Olga Zebzeeva is her trainer and she watches over her. She is able to make the name of Granada, the rhythm, resonate throughout the entire national territory.
