The head of the Court of Instruction 3 of Elda (Alicante), who is on duty, has decreed in the criminal field the provisional release of the two detainees for allegedly sexually abusing several girls at the Moors and Christians festivities of the locality but, at the same time, has agreed that they be admitted to the Valencia Foreigners Internment Center, at the request of the National Police.
The internment is due to the fact that they are in an irregular situation in Spain and an administrative resolution weighs on both of them that agrees to their expulsion from the national territory and their return to their country of origin, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV ).
Likewise, the magistrate has opened in relation to the facts two cases for crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity, without prejudice to further qualification.
In one of them, which affects half a dozen victims, both detainees are being investigated, while in the second, with two victims, only one of those arrested is involved.
Agents of the National Police arrested the two young men in Elda on June 6 for allegedly sexually abusing several girls with touching during the celebration of the Moors and Christians festivities in that town. So far, eight victims have been located, three of them minors.
The action of the agents began after the call to 091 of several young women who reported how two boys had approached them when they were partying and had hugged them and touched their private parts and breasts without their consent, in addition to trying to kiss them
The reported events occurred around 3:40 a.m. on June 6 and, immediately, several crews from the Elda National Police Station went to the scene and, following the instructions of the complainants, managed to locate one of the the alleged aggressors who was arrested right there.
