After missing the voluntary phases, Derrick Henry, running back, reported to Titans mandatory camp on Tuesday. His press conference also included discussion about his contract.

Henry signed a four year deal before the 2020 season. He is expected to earn base salaries of $12 million for the first two seasons and $12.5 million for the second. Henry responded to Tuesday’s question about whether the Titans would consider extending the contract.

“It is always good to be promoted at work. . . . I am just trying to get through it. I am currently under contract. Henry stated, via Teresa Walker, Associated Press, “If that’s the future, that would be great.”

Henry was injured in his foot and missed nine games of the regular season. He returned to play with a poor performance in the playoff loss against the Bengals. According to Henry, his foot is doing well and that the Bengals defeat has given him fuel as he prepares for a year with news about a contract in Nashville.
