The second division game between league leaders FC St. Pauli and Hannover 96 was interrupted for several minutes on Friday evening due to a police operation in the fan block. From the 75th minute onwards, fans of the guests had a heated argument with the police for an initially unknown reason. At times there were violent fights and throwing of cups and poles. The 96 supporters took down their banners and stopped supporting. The game resumed after about five minutes.
