The number of unemployed has fallen in June in Castilla y León by 4,707 people, which represents a decrease of 3.85 percent over the month of May, compared to the fall of 1.45 percent registered at the national level, where the unemployment fell by 42,409 people.
Thus, this number has stood at 117,658 people, according to data published today by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. In year-on-year terms, the drop in unemployment in the Community is much greater, 22.17 percent, given that in the last 12 months a total of 33,506 Castilians and Leonese left the unemployment lists. At the national level, registered unemployment has dropped by three million (2.88 million), and remained at the lowest levels since October 2008, at the start of the financial crisis.
For its part, compared to June 2021, unemployment has fallen by 733,757 people, which represents 20.3 percent less unemployment.
