Mr. Schulte-Markwort, you have written a book about “Discouraged Girls”. How did that happen? About four or five years ago, some of my colleagues and I noticed a new phenomenon: In therapeutic treatment, we were increasingly dealing with girls who “got stuck”, as we called it. Girls who had completely withdrawn into themselves. We asked ourselves more and more desperately: What is wrong with these girls? Why aren’t our therapeutic interventions working? Why don’t we get these kids back on the track?
