Next bitter loss for France: Paul Pogba’s agent has confirmed the superstar won’t recover from his recent injury in time for the World Cup and will miss the tournament.
The Juventus midfielder picked up a knee injury in the summer and has not played this season. A return was hoped for soon, but a thigh injury sustained in training has again delayed his return.
Now his agent Rafaela Pimenta has confirmed to Telefoot that Pogba won’t be fit in time for the World Cup.
“Paul would like to return as soon as possible. But he has to be patient, work hard in these difficult times and do his best to get back on the pitch for the fans and his team as soon as possible,” she said.
Pimenta confirmed Pogba will need more time to recover from his hamstring injury which is expected to keep him out of action for another three weeks.
France are already without Pogba’s usual midfield partner N’Golo Kante after the Frenchman picked up a serious hamstring injury that will keep him out of action well after the tournament is over.
