Hollywood star Olivia Wilde (39, “Her”, “Rush”) could tackle her third directing project with a Christmas comedy. The actress and director is on board with the planned comedy “Naughty,” the industry portal “Deadline” reported on Friday (local time). Wilde linked the report in her Instagram story. “Barbie” star Margot Robbie is said to be involved with her production company LuckyChap.
The story, based on a script by Jimmy Warden (“Cocaine Bear”), revolves around a divorced mother who relies on Santa Claus’ help to gain custody of her son.
Wilde made her directorial debut in 2019 with the girls’ comedy “Booksmart.” She then brought Florence Pugh and Harry Styles in front of the camera for the science fiction thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” (2022).
Robbie and her company LuckyChap are involved in the production of films such as “Barbie”, “Saltburn” and “Promising Young Woman”.
