Princess Kate (41), Prince William (41) and their three children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) attended the royals’ annual Christmas concert in London’s Westminster Abbey on Friday evening. It was the first Christmas concert for little Louis, who appeared in a dark blue outfit like his father and brother. The five-year-old, who is known for his grimaces and cheeky actions during public appearances, made his debut and made for a funny moment.

At the end of the concert and as he was leaving the church, Louis leaned over to his sister and cheekily blew out the candle she was holding. Princess Charlotte, who wore a coat dress in Christmas burgundy red, was not fazed by the event and acknowledged it with a smile. Previously, William and Kate’s son had dutifully held a lit candle in his hand, which his mother lit with her own.

The contemplative celebration was captured on Kate and William’s official Instagram account with some photos from the church and a clip. With candles in hand, some Christmas carols were sung, William also gave a speech and Kate spoke to some of the children present. It was a “special evening” with “many wonderful people”. As in previous years, the event was recorded and will be broadcast as part of a special program on ITV on Christmas Eve.
