The streaming service Netflix continues to rely on high-quality German in-house productions. The four-part mystery series “Das Signal” starts on March 7, 2024, in which actor Florian David Fitz (49) acts as the main actor – and also co-wrote the scripts. Netflix subscribers can then expect a gripping story about the disappearance of an astronaut without a trace.
Family father Sven (Fitz) and his daughter Charlie (Yuna Bennett) await the return of his wife from the International Space Station. The researcher and astronaut has already landed on earth again, but on the flight back from the USA to Germany, Paula (Peri Baumeister, 37) suddenly disappears. Your plane seems to have been swallowed by the earth. Charlie and Sven wait in vain at the airport gate.
While the father is still trying to protect his daughter from this terrible truth, he is also doing his own research and comes across a trace that Paula left him. Sven follows the mysterious thread, but the threat to him and his daughter increases. Paula spent several months in space, and there, in the darkness of the cosmos, she may have made an incredible discovery that could change the world forever.
The series creators Nadine Gottmann (38) and Sebastian Hilger (39) are behind the four-part miniseries “Das Signal”. Hilger also directed the film together with Philipp Leinemann (44, “The End of Truth”). Lead actor Florian David Fitz has already distinguished himself as a screenwriter in the past. For example, he already wrote the scripts for his own directing works “The Hottest Day” and “100 Things”.
