Bayer 04 Leverkusen suffered another setback after a mixed first half. Midfield veteran Charles Aranguiz recently had to slow down in training due to calf problems and will now be out for a longer period of time.
A torn muscle fiber is actually an injury that occurs very frequently in the football business and usually heals after two or three weeks. Charles Aranguiz has been hit a little harder, however, as the Chilean is still recovering from a calf hamstring tear he sustained in October. Bayer 04 have now announced that the veteran has to take a break due to ongoing functional problems and that he should complete rehabilitation. His return to the training ground is not planned until January. Leverkusen will start the second half of the season against Gladbach on January 22nd. Of course, there is great hope that the midfield leader will be able to get involved again by then. Despite his frequent injuries, Aranguiz has always fought back and is still a mainstay in the team.
