For the nine-time German Basketball Champions Brose Bamberg is the end of the Bundesliga season 2019/20. The Team of coach Roel Moors had to be in the quarter-finals of the BBL final tournament in Munich after 81:86 in the first leg in the return game with the EWE Baskets Oldenburg clearly beaten. At the 75:89 (46:51) showed, the Bamberg, the had to do without captain Elias Harris (back problems), once again a very volatile performance over 40 minutes – much too little to be among the best four Teams in the League. The North German showed the significantly more Mature game system and scored against the part of the dedicated, but often headless Bamberg defense, as in the first leg at will.

On the Bamberg side’s leading scorer Kameron Taylor (20 points) showed a strong individual vision and made sure that Brose could hope for in a Five-point deficit at half-time yet. However, in the first minutes of the third quarter of Bamberg succeeded in the attack almost anything. The mortgage after 30 minutes (72:60) was, ultimately, too big, to the North of Germany again decisively to dangerous. After Jordan Crawford had to leave in the beginning of the fourth quarter with five Fouls early in the parquet, fought back, Brose, after all, to nine points (65:74) – close the game should be. The Bamberg Throw percentage was 36 per cent, too weak.

While the EWE Baskets will now meet in the first semi-final on Monday to the winner of the pairing of Alba Berlin vs BG Göttingen (first leg: 93:68), have to leave the Brose basketball team from the Munich-based quarantine Hotel.
