As a 17-Year-old Thomas Karr came to SV Lohhof, experienced the Bavaria League and regional League-times of the clubs as Active with and has been for five years a youth coach at SVL.
Lohhof – With his wife, Sonja, as a team Manager at his side and his son Lukas in the squad, he coaches the U11-juniors, who’d heuer played a role in the mercury CUP (see Text below). “I came to the Job, like the virgin to the child – actually, I wanted to just watch, then you have allocated to me, as a group, and suddenly I was a coach,” says Karr.
you Can remember a Situation in which one of their players has admitted to be not fouled and that there was therefore no penalty for your team?
Well, there was actually a Situation like this. But the Kids want to win, that is the nature of the thing – so the player has said nothing. The referee decided on a penalty, then I have interfered and told him that it was not a Foul. So there was no penalty. It has to be fair on the square.
“my son must understand that he is playing continues”
you have played a higher class. Have you been treated for sometime unfair?
I have to think about. Yes, I remember a Situation in which I thought, at least, that you treated me unfair. (laughs) I have to be 19 to have been, because I overslept during the preparation of the Training on Saturday morning and has not been taken into consideration for the test game on Sunday. I found this so unfair that I bought a ticket for this game and me on the grandstand set. I had to check in later still to the Board. That was very instructive for me, because the decision my Trainer Toni Plattner was absolutely understandable, and most of all, I have been annoyed at the time, about myself…
How can you not teach your players that it is not without justice in to each other?
to start with, I pace in training the teams in the game so that it is as balanced as possible. And also in the point that I play make sure that all are used, there must then also understand my son, that he plays just constantly. Fortunately, our squad pretty balanced, but I still am looking forward already to the next season. Then, we have not seven, but nine players on the pitch.
