The Mercedes driver pointed with his fastest lap in 1:26,621 minutes his team-mate Valtteri Bottas (+0,163 seconds) to second place. The third on the high-speed in England, the McLaren driver Lando Norris was the track prior to qualifying on Saturday afternoon. Directly behind Nico Hulkenberg ended up at his second Aufhilfseinsatz for Racing Point. Sebastian Vettel (+1,190 seconds) came after an Engine failure in his Ferrari the day before, again only beaten off 13. to the finish.
In the championship standings, Hamilton (88 points) is ahead of Bottas (58). The formula 1 is reminiscent of this weekend on their first Grand Prix in Silverstone 70 years ago.
