Saints were levelled by Che Adams, a Southampton forward, just a few minutes before the end of the first half. It was a well-deserved equalizer for Saints. The visitors had many chances to score throughout the match.
Southampton, a hardworking team (29 points), is enjoying a good run. The draw at Old Trafford follows a win against Tottenham Hotspur as well as a draw against Man City at home. Saints are currently in the top 10 Premier League teams with only one loss in 10 league matches. They will be facing Everton on Saturday, February 19.

Halftime: Although it was a typical Manchester United performance, with a positive start to the game and a goal, Southampton proved to be a strong team as the second half progressed. To avoid drama in the second period, the Red Devils will need to score more goals. We will see if Man United has the strength to keep going. Recent matches have shown that Ralf Rangnick’s team doesn’t respond well to adversity.

He continued his run into box and fed Sancho at far post for an easy finish. 16th minute. YELLOW card to Marcus Rashford, for a hard and sliding tackle on Romain perraud. They are fighting down the flank (Rashford so far is the right-winger vs. Southampton’s left back).

Alex Telles is not yet ready to fight after his COVID-19 bout, but he is available from the bench.
