Germany’s model snowboarder Ramona Hofmeister continued her perfect season in the World Cup. The 27-year-old won the parallel slalom in Davos, her third race this winter.

The athlete from Bischofswiesen in Upper Bavaria prevailed in the final against Lucia Dalmasso from Italy. Before the pre-Christmas success in Switzerland, Hofmeister had already won the parallel giant slalom in Carezza and Cortina d’Ampezzo. She confidently leads the overall World Cup.

“There’s the hat trick,” said Hofmeister after her coup. “I’m at a loss for words, it’s unbelievable. Simply amazing, I’m completely in my flow.” The three-time overall World Cup winner and Olympic bronze medalist from 2018 now has 18 World Cup victories. “I don’t need the Christmas break now, I could just carry on driving,” she joked. Hofmeister’s teammate Melanie Hochreiter was eliminated in the round of 16 against Dalmasso.

For the men, Stefan Baumeister at least made it to the knockout phase after a disappointing season so far, but was immediately eliminated in the first round. Daniele Bagozza from Italy won. The parallel giant slalom continues in Scuol, Switzerland, on January 13th.
