Allianz Stadium nestles almost sublimely on Driver Avenue in the suburb of Moore Park. A side street that somehow connects past and present in a long arc not far from the center of Sydney. While the old cricket stadium exudes the charm of the modern age, the venue used for the women’s World Cup embodies the modern age. A multi-purpose arena now known as the “Sydney Football Stadium” by world governing body Fifa. Which is misleading as this is where the headquarters of Australia’s National Rugby League are based.
