Alexis Tibidi finally breaks his tent at VfB Stuttgart. The Swabians agreed on a transfer with the French club ESTAC Troyes.
Last summer, Alexis Tibidi was loaned out by VfB to SCR Altach, where the Frenchman has done well so far. The 19-year-old winger featured in 16 Bundesliga games, recording five goals and one assist for the Austrians.
ES Troyes took notice of the youngster’s performances and knocked on the door for a transfer this winter. Altach agreed to call off the loan – and VfB are happy about a handsome fee. As Bild reports, 2.6 million euros flow into the state, Altach is compensated for the break in the loan with 438,000 euros. In the official transfer notification, the Swabians leave the conditions of the deal open.
Sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth explained: “Playing time is what counts most for Alexis and his sporting development at the moment. We can’t offer him that in our current sporting situation. In this respect, the step to Troyes is a good option for him and overall for everyone involved “It was a sensible decision. We would like to thank those responsible at SCR Altach for their cooperation and wish Alexis Tibidi all the best for the future.”
In Stuttgart, Tibidi still had a contract until 2025. In 13 competitive games for the VfB professionals, he was unable to score a goal.
