Negotiations between FC Bayern and Tottenham Hotspur about star striker Harry Kane are reportedly entering the next round.

As several media wrote, Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and Technical Director Marco Neppe are said to have flown to England on Monday to further promote the engagement of the English national team captain. The delegation returned in the evening. However, there was no agreement, as the portal “The Atheltic” wrote, among others.

According to reports, the meeting between parts of the Munich transfer task force and Spurs boss Daniel Levy was actually planned for last Friday. But this did not happen. Negotiations with the Premier League club continued through other channels, it said.

Transfer fee is probably around 87 million euros

Kane’s signing continues to be a top priority for the Munich team. In the test matches in Tokyo against Manchester City (1: 2) and Kawasaki Frontale (1: 0), the missing nine made itself felt again and the goal tally remained a deficit without the desired striker Kane. “Harry Kane is definitely a highly attractive player. He is captain of the English national team, top scorer and would do us and the Bundesliga good in this respect,” Bayern President Herbert Hainer said on the Asia trip.

With his first offers, the German soccer record champion was rebuffed. According to media reports, Neppe and Dreesen now have a new offer in their luggage. As the “Daily Mail” reported, the new base fee offered by Munich is around 87 million euros. The sum could still increase through bonus payments.

Kane still has a contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2024. The Spurs, especially club owner Joe Lewis, are not ready to lose their striker on a free transfer. Lewis had therefore called for an immediate sale of Kane if he refused to sign a new working paper in London.
