The Danish superligaklubber must either look over the shoulders – or have dollar signs in their eyes.

Turkey’s immediate number four, Trabzonspor, was present when the AGF met Lyngby in the Superliga 8. december. Göztepe, which is located in the middle of the row, has also been in Denmark, and storklubben Besiktas lurking also in the Danish market.

But it can be difficult for the Turkish clubs to entice young superligaspillere to, as the country is right now suffering from a reputation created by bad experiences for a number of Danish players as well as an idea, that Turkey is not so much a mellemskridt on to Europe, as it is a terminus.

It does not, however, on the Turkish clubs ‘ new-found interest.

“It is the combination of the Turkish clubs can see that they have to pay less for players with the same potential as in the major leagues. They feel that they can get more for the money,” says agent Caglar Koycu and turns solid.

“It is basically all the Turkish clubs, who keep an eye on the Danish market.”
