Alexander Zverev confidently made it into the second round of the ATP tournament in Vienna. The Olympic tennis champion won 6:4, 6:1 against the 27-year-old local hero Sebastian Ofner, who started the tournament with a wildcard. After 1:18 hours, the 26-year-old from Hamburg scored his first match point.

In the tournament, which is endowed with 2.4 million euros, fifth-seeded Zverev will face Briton Cameron Norrie (28) or Filip Misolic (22) from Austria in his next game.

Struff continues in Basel – Hanfmann out

Jan-Lennard Struff also came one round further at the ATP tournament in Basel, which was worth 2.3 million euros. The 33-year-old from Warstein moved into the round of 16 against the American Christopher Eubanks (27) after a 7:6 (9:7), 6:4. There Struff will meet either Hubert Hurkacz (26), who is number four from Poland, or Dusan Lajovic from Serbia, who is the same age.

Yannick Hanfmann, on the other hand, missed the round of 16. The 31-year-old from Karlsruhe lost to the Scot Andy Murray (36) 5:7, 4:6.
