The Slovenian Timi Zajc won the last competition of the ski jumping winter.
With jumps of 232.5 and 234 meters, the local hero prevailed in Planica, Slovenia, against the competition of compatriot Anze Lanisek, who finished 0.1 points behind. The Austrian Stefan Kraft completed the podium in third place on the huge airfield in the valley of the hills. The ball for the World Cup flying winner also went to Kraft, who overtook Norway’s overall World Cup winner Halvor Egner Granerud.
As on Saturday, the German athletes only played supporting roles, but this time they showed a few strong flights. Andreas Wellinger (228.5 and 240.5 meters) made it to ninth place, Markus Eisenbichler (225 and 240.5 meters) was eleventh. Things went much worse for Constantin Schmid (22nd), Karl Geiger (23rd) and Pius Paschke (27th). The Planica Individual was the final competition of the longest season in ski jumping history.
