Despite Manchester City’s four winless Premier League games in a row, Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp has warned that the defending champions will no longer be counted among the championship candidates in England.
“If someone were to write off City then that’s obviously the biggest joke, it doesn’t make any sense,” said Klopp after his team’s 2-0 win at bottom side Sheffield United.
City lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in the day’s top game and slipped to fourth place in the table. Aston Villa is third with two points more than coach Pep Guardiola’s team. Arsenal FC are at the top, with Liverpool in second place with two points less. City are currently six points behind Arsenal.
