Søren Krogh becomes the new fodboldchef in Denmark at the turn of the year. He changes from FC Nordsjælland, where he currently is assistant coach.

“To download Søren Krogh to the AaB as fodboldchef we consider a big scoop for our club, and we have long sought to have this exact piece in place,” says AaBs executive director, Thomas Bælum, in the press release.

Søren Krogh is even from Lemvig and played in his active career for Kobenhavn, Brøndby, Forward, FC Nordsjælland and BGA (Boldklubberne Glostrup Albertslund). He stopped his career in 2011.

all in All this was 42-year-old Søren Krogh in FC Nordsjælland in 12 years, where he after spillerkarrieren was the U19 coach and later assistant coach for the League team.

“basically, I through conversations with various people in the AaB has been confirmed in the impression I already had of the club, namely that the AaB is a club with a lot of good people and decent values,” says Søren Krogh to the AaBs website and continues:

“I am humbled and grateful for the time I’ve had in FC Nordsjælland, and now I am just so humble and dedicated to a hopefully long and rewarding cooperation with AaB with successful results on several parameters.”

Recruitment may not immediately be seen as a direct replacement for Allan Farms, which in October was fired as sports director in AaB.

the Club points out, though, that it instead is a replacement for klublegende, Poul Erik Andreasen, who stopped after more than 25 years in the club earlier in the year.

But the title as fodboldchef that in the DBU level is called ‘Head of Coaching’, the Søren Krogh responsibilities within the squad and coaching staff around the League-the team and AaBs talentarbejde.

the Job is also described as a newly created position at FC Nordsjællands website.

The two teams meet in their final match in the autumn. The game is played on Friday at 19: 00 in Aalborg, denmark, where Søren Krogh can be allowed to greet his future employer.
