Leon Draisaitl has guided the Edmonton Oilers to a late win in the NHL yet again. The German national ice hockey player scored the decisive goal to make it 4:3 for the Canadian team in overtime against the Florida Panthers.

Two days earlier he had scored the winning goal in a 4-3 win against the New York Rangers. It was Draisaitl’s number 13 goal of the season in the North American professional league. Teammate Connor McDavid scored three points with a goal and two assists in the Oilers’ 11th win of the season, which puts the Oilers back in the black.

JJ Peterka previously had the seventh assist of the season but was unable to prevent the Buffalo Sabers’ narrow overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. At 5:6 he was involved in the interim 2:2.

Moritz Seider even scored two goals, but also had to cope with a defeat. His second goal of the season was the opening goal for the Detroit Red Wings to make it 1-0, but the assist to the 4-2 final score against the Toronto Maple Leafs only brought cosmetic results.
