The German U21 national team will meet Poland and Israel again in qualifying for the 2025 European Football Championship. Other opponents in Group D are Bulgaria, Kosovo and Estonia, according to the European Football Union draw in Nyon.
Israel and Poland were already German opponents in qualifying for Euro 2023 when Antonio Di Salvo’s team qualified first in their group.
At this year’s European Championships in June and July in Georgia and Romania, alongside England and the Czech Republic, Israel is also a group opponent of the German U21s, who are defending the title. Before that, Di Salvo’s squad is testing against Japan and Romania in March.
The qualification for the tournament in summer 2025 in Slovakia starts in March. However, Germany and the other EM participants will only start qualifying after the tournament in autumn. In addition to the host, 15 teams qualify for the tournament. The nine group winners and the three best runners-up buy the ticket directly. The remaining runners-up in the group play out the last three participants in playoffs.
